Indoor Track and Field Team Starts Their Season Smashing Records

The indoor track and field team has successfully completed their first two meets of the season, making waves as the team racked up some school records. Most recently, the team traveled to the Armory in New York for the Coaches Hall of Fame Invitational.
So far this season, there have been a number of memorable and record breaking finishes:

  • Matt Guariano '24 broke his own 55m school record from last year with a time of 8.65 last weekend at Tower Hill
  • Both Gavin Lee '24 and Bobby McLaughlin '24 broke Alex Im’s (2022 graduate) 400m record set last year. Gavin lowered the record by 4 seconds with a time of 50.75 which won the event
  • Alanah Weaver '23 improved Archmere’s shot put record with a throw of 32-4
  • The girls 4x800m shattered the school record from 2020 by 30 seconds with a time of 10:39! The relay included Maddie Priest '24, Ella Taggart '26, Lyla Bell '25 and Helen Socorso '25.
